The reason I am posing this question is because I have mopped our kitchen 7 times in the past 48 hours. With a very head-strong toddler in the house the following household disasters have happened this week alone:
- 2 days ago- 1 dozen eggs smashed in the floor
- 1 day ago- 2 dozen eggs and 6 cups of yogurt smashed in the floor
- Today- 1 large can of Enfamil Premium baby formula and 1 carton of Beech Nut Rice Baby Cereal dumped in the floor as well as a tube of lipstick smashed into white bedroom carpet
If this was new or isolated it would be different, but he has been doing things like this for more than a year now. Several pounds of powdered sugar dumped in the floor when he wanted to play in the "Snow"! Baby powder is not even allowed in our house anymore after the many containers being dumped through out the house and my make-up has to stay locked up.
Everyone says I will think it is funny someday. I might. Right now it is a little too much. Selling the house this week, contracts, inspections, new speech therapist, moving into a new bedroom, job applications, chronic headaches...
Praying for strength, energy, patience, and endurance.
In the midst of all of this, I am counting my blessings.
