The Lifting of the Curse

Unlike MLK Days past, today has been a more uplifing day. We had our doubts when the day started, but by the Grace of God, it has been quite successful!

The started out by me doing an abundant amount of house work at early time of 5:30 since Ben woke me up with no intention of going back to bed. I shrugged it off considering the fact that I use to wake up at 5:30 every day so I simply hit the ground running. Dishes, Laundry, Floors, etc.

Brian's morning consisted of him going to check on our house, get the Heating unit repaired, check on our recently frozen pipes, and have the plumber double check for damages.  My biggest fear was the plumbing damage. Turns out...there was NO DAMAGE!!! Yipee, we have a clear bill of plumbing health to pass on to the future owners.

Next hurdle was...what to do with the extremely low offer made on our house over the weekend. First of all, hooray! we got an offer. Second of all, it was so low, we would not only be taking a loss on our investment, we would not even be getting enough to pay off what we owed. From the sounds of this couple, we were afraid that they could easily be scared off and turn us away all together.

After much prayer and consideration, we decided to make a modest counter-offer. I feel good about it. We will still be taking a huge loss, but we will come close enough to paying off our loan and expenses. Bottom line, if they take it, we will be happy campers!

To top it off, the boys took long naps today, I baked a yummy chocolate cake, and Brian is bringing home dinner! Hope the rest of the day goes this well.

Love to All!! God is God!
